I’d donate some of the money to charity, and I would take video-cameras into schools or science meetings to record children hearing about the brain, then I could use the videos on-line so that other schools across Britain could also watch them. I’d use some of it to buy models of the brain, and also arrange for real human brains to be on display for students to see. I’ve spent a lot of time talking to students in schools already, but it would be nice to have an opportunity to record this for even more students to see – so you guys at your school could also watch videos about the incredible brain!

I’d also use it to fund local students coming into the university to watch science in-action by visiting our laboratories and maybe even taking part in experiments. I’d also use some to make cool posters to send out to schools with information students have voted they would most like to see.

Really i’d like to buy some equipment (arduinos) to take in to schools to run workshops with students for creating their own tools and technology. I’d like to use this to inspire students about computers and psychology and show them that you don’t have to study just one thing. I suspect i’d end up visiting schools that are near to me, so it would depend how far from me you are! Of course if my mini workshops go well I might be able to ask my uni for more funding so that I could run them with schools further away.
