      Hi lukemoss,

My research is probably quite different from the other scientists in the Brain Zone, as I work in computer science more than in biology or psychology. I am using our theories of how the brain works (or, how we *think* it works) to build brain-inspired controllers for robots. Essentially, in computer science, we often look to other sciences (such as biology) for inspiration on how to solve a problem; for example, by looking at how ants find food in the forest, we have been able to solve the problem of how information is sent across the world over the internet.

In a similar way to looking at how ants search for food, I’m looking at how neurons in the brain work well together so that we can build robots that can work well together.

      Hope that answers your question!

      James
