      Hey oneandonly!

Sadly there are lots of other things that can happen to your brain than simply cancer – in fact cancer probably isn’t even one of the more likely things! The brain is prone to damage when you bump your head (you do have to bump your head extremely hard though so don’t panic) and this kind of damage is smaller than other things but can cause some problems. Then as you age you get more likely to have thinks like strokes where the brain runs out of blood because an artery gets blocked, or you can develop dementia where the majority of the cells in the brain start to breakdown and the brain doesn’t function properly. In my opinion one of the scarier things is something called a haematoma, this is when blood fills gaps in the brain and makes it swell – thankfully it’s quite rare but personally I remember hearing about that one for the first time and being quite concerned!
