      Hi Katie

Anaphylaxis is typically caused by allergies (to things like peanuts, or wasp stings) and it causes the throat to close up meaning the person can’t breathe any longer. Sadly the worst outcome is death, but most people with allergies this severe carry medication with them that can help them breathe again.

Hi Katie, I don’t think I can really add to Jen’s answer!
