• Question: In your opinion what is the best part of the brain and why do you think this?

      In my opinion the most complicated part of the brain is the frontal lobe (at the front, just above your eyes) – no other animal in the world has it and we think it’s what makes us human and separates us from monkeys. It’s responsible for singing, understanding jokes, planning in the future, imagination and remembering how to interact in society.

      I’ve just read Jen’s answer to this question (/brainm13-zone/answer/?p=390) which explains each part of the brain, so based on that I think the best bit is the amygdala as it came first and helps with all the automatic functions, without that bit we wouldn’t have been able to evolve any of the more complex regions.
