I am funded by a charity and I get a set amount each month so I don’t really earn a certain amount per day. PhD students usually get around 13-16 thousand a year and post docs get around 25-30 thousand a year.

Same as Michael here! As a PhD student I get my salary from a research council (from the government) which is between £13,000 and £16,000 a year so we don’t tend to work in days. A quick calculation puts that at around £60 a day!

I earn just under 30K a year – i’m not sure what that is per day, and don’t forget we have to pay tax and pay back our student loans! You will earn a different amount dependent upon your job level, and where the funding comes from.
