When I was at school my teachers used to take us to a lot of uni event days for science and I once got to make lipstick which was quite cool! I also got to go around a lot of medical departments and see brains and body parts in formaldehyde – that was when I decided I didn’t want to study medicine!
My chemistry teacher at school now works for Bristol Uni running outreach events for schools all over the world (http://www.chemlabs.bris.ac.uk/outreach/) so maybe one of you has been on one of his crazy trips!

What kind of science trips to do you enjoy?

      Hi atomic

While we don’t get to go on ‘crazy’ trips scientists do tend to get to go on interesting trips related to science, we attend conferences where lots of scientists come together to talk about one particular topic. For me, for example, that means talking about language and bilingualism – I have been to talk to people in Holland, and Belgium, and in a few weeks I will take a trip to California in America to talk to people about my work too! So not crazy, but still pretty cool that people want to listen to your work 🙂

      Jen
