• Question: can a robot get brain damage

      Hi killermadscientist,

      That would depend on whether the robot had a brain that could be damaged. In all electrical systems there is the possibility of damage from radiation and noise, so if there was an artificial brain in the robot, that would also be susceptible to such effects. I suppose in that sense, yes a robot could get brain damage, but whether it would affect the robot in the same way it would affect us is difficult to say, as we haven’t built one complex enough yet!
