• Question: what do you like to do on a normal day or a Saturday when there no work?

      Hi Louise that’s a hard question for me at the moment as I’m currently working and studying so my weekends still involve me working! But i’ll run you through a typical weekend without work:
      Get up
      Have breakfast, sort my chickens out
      Put some laundry on (bit boring but needs to be done)
      then I might do some gardening or go out on my bike, if the weather is nice! If the weather is rubbish then I do a lot of jewellery making so i’ll probably do that.
      I also often visit my parents on the weekend.
      Then in the evening I might watch a film with my bf, or we’ll go and meet friends.

      Pretty average really!

      Hey Louise!

      Great question! I love talking about brains but scientists do have lives outside of science too!

      I’d probably spend some time sleeping in, I love my work but I also love my bed, sometimes it comes down to having to decide which I love most day to day! So I’d get up a little later, have a reeeeeally nice breakfast and eat it out in the garden if the sun is out. Then I’d probably watch some television I haven’t caught up on, have some lunch and then head out into the city to browse some shops or just go for a nice walk. At night I love having friends around for nice food and a film or just listen to music, my favourite thing is to light all of the candles in my garden and have a barbeque outside (and this does actually happen on a Saturday for me surprisingly often, it’s great!)
