Yes, although they are quite scary! Sometimes there are lots of questions being asked at once and I worry that I will miss someone. Often I can’t answer all of the questions because it’s not my area so I have to look up the answers really quick! Mind you that’s pretty good because by asking these questions you’re getting me to think about these things and so i’m learning too! I hope that by doing these chats some of you are inspired by science and also realise that we’re human too!

      Hey,

Yeah, the chats have been great fun! It was a little scary at first when you guys are firing lots a great questions at us but it really has been enjoyable. Have you enjoyed the chats? I hope we’ve answered all of your questions!

I really enjoy them – it’s quite a challenge! One of my favourite things to do is talk about the brain and help people learn cool interesting facts and ideas. I don’t think I’ve ever typed so fast in my life, or been so frustrated with spelling problems haha!

Yeah — although I think they’re much more challenging than the questions because we don’t really get time to mull our answers over.

I’d say I actually enjoy the live chats much more than answering the questions. It’s great having the two-way conversation so that you get to ask follow-up questions if we say something you find particularly intriguing. It’s also really nice that we then get to find out more about the students: what you enjoy, why you’re interested in particular bits of science and some tell us what they’re studying and whether they would also like to be scientists.
